Attractions
Brig City Apartment is located in the heart of Brig - just a 5-minute walk from the old town. The Apartment is an ideal starting point to explore the Valais and Switzerland.
The Rosswald, Belalp and Bettmeralp ski areas as well as the Aletsch Glacier can be reached in 20 minutes, Zermatt, Saas Fee, Interlaken, Bern and Crans-Montana within 1 hour (by car or train) and Geneva, Zurich, Basel and Milan are only 2 hours away by train. A bus stop is right in front of the house.

Castle garden
The palace garden belongs to the Stockalper palace and can be reached within a 6-minute walk from the apartment.
Ideally, you should enter the park from the castle. After you have reached the castle through the alleys of the old town, lingered there in the impressive arcade courtyard and marvelled at the Italian-inspired ambience, you step out to the right onto a courtyard or a terrace from which the park can be easily surveyed.

Matterhorn - Zermatt
Brig City Apartment is only 40 km from the Matterhorn (Zermatt). With 4478 m above sea level it is one of the highest mountains in the Alps. Because of its striking shape and its ascent history, the Matterhorn is one of the most famous mountains in the world. For Switzerland it is a landmark and one of the most photographed tourist attractions.
Most guests of the Brig City Apartment take a day trip to Zermatt. There is a train connection with the Glacier Express from the train station of Brig every 30 minutes.

Old town
The beautiful old town of Brig with its patrician houses and cozy restaurants invites you to linger. Shopping is popular on the lively Bahnhofstrasse and in the many winding streets. You will encounter the charming "Wallisertitsch" everywhere, an ancient and original German dialect spoken by the locals throughout Upper Valais.
Embark on a city tour in search of traces and treat yourself to a look behind the scenes of the medieval Alpine town with an Italian flair.
Aletsch glacier
The Aletsch Glacier is only 20 km away from Brig City Apartment. With over 300 km of hiking trails, the Aletsch Arena is a real hiking paradise. The hiking suggestions range from paths suitable for prams and routes through the impressive Aletsch Forest to hut hikes or high alpine tours with a view of the Great Aletsch Glacier. A tour of the three viewpoints offers a unique view of the largest ice stream in the Alps and the four thousand meter peaks of the Valais.
The region is part of the UNESCO World Heritage Swiss Alps Jungfrau-Aletsch and is therefore considered a unique and particularly worthy of protection natural landscape.


Glishorn
The Glishorn is a 2525 m above sea level high peak. The summit is the northernmost of the Weissmies chain west of the Simplon Pass and the only one of the chain that can be seen from Brig-Glis.
